Last year we presented a case study to the American Marketing Association on how to use marketing analytics to drive higher ROI. It was presented with Tableau Software – a data visual analysis tool which lets you explore your data visually in a very intuitive way. It’s been called the Decade of Data Analysis — more and more companies are opening up their data for shared analysis. This is particularly true for marketing information. But data doesn’t equal insights. In this presentation we give an overview of how companies are open sourcing their data and productizing it for their customer base. We’ve used the millions of pieces of information about listener music preferences to produce a market basket analysis that shows what songs radio listeners like together.
